PARIS -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/27/08 -- SCOR is admitted as a life reinsurer in Brazil
SCOR has been admitted as a life reinsurer in Brazil. This approval by the Brazilian reinsurance authority SUSEP (Superinténdencia de Seguros Privados Ministério da Fazenda) will enable SCOR to provide its longstanding expertise in Life reinsurance to the Brazilian market.
SCOR is pleased to announce that Ronald Kaufmann joins SCOR Group as Head of its Life Representative office in Sao Paulo.
Ronald has 37 years of experience in the Brazilian Life Insurance and Reinsurance Industry. He has held a number of management and senior executive positions in various major national and multinational companies. A longstanding committee and board member of the National Insurance and Reinsurance Association of Companies, Ronald worked actively prior to the publication of the new reinsurance regulation with the Regulators, Insurers' Committees and others task forces, in order to include the specificities of Life Reinsurance in the Regulations. As a member of several international pools, he has represented Brazilian insurance companies at many international forums and seminars.
